What Is an Electronic Press Card?
The IOIJ Electronic Press Card (E-PRESS CARD) is a digital supplement to the physical International Press Card issued by the Information Office of Independent Journalists (IOIJ).
The E-PRESS CARD can be stored on a smartphone and presented electronically when needed. It is not issued as a standalone press card.

Online Verification
Each E-PRESS CARD contains the same identification details, unique registration number, validity period and QR code as the corresponding physical PRESS card.
By scanning the QR code, the recipient can access the official IOIJ verification page and check the card’s current validity status.
If an E-PRESS CARD has also been issued, the holder’s verification page displays the following notice:

Who Can Obtain an E-PRESS CARD?
The E-PRESS CARD is available exclusively to holders of a valid physical International Press Card issued by IOIJ.
It is an additional electronic version of an existing card, not a separate journalistic accreditation.

The E-PRESS CARD is delivered electronically by email and can be saved to a mobile phone.
