ELECTRONIC PRESS CARD (E-PRESS CARD)
The E-PRESS CARD is a digital format specifically designed for display and storage on smartphones.
It contains the same identification details, registration number, validity period, and QR code as the primary issued Press Card, allowing instant verification on mobile devices.
The E-PRESS CARD is issued exclusively as an optional add-on to an officially issued IOIJ Press Card (available both for credentials delivered by email for self-printing and for physical PVC cards).

For independent journalists, the PRESS card may include the IOIJ NEWS designation, which serves as an umbrella identification for independent journalists.
The universal designation IOIJ NEWS is also advantageous for freelance journalists, for example when transferring between editorial offices or working for multiple media organizations simultaneously.

Issuance of a new PRESS Card after the previous card expires.
Valid for all card types, including:

- PRESS CARD validity: 2 years for both electronic and physical versions.
Issuance of a replacement or new PRESS card during the validity period
The newly issued card will receive a new verification QR code, and the previous card will be invalidated.
